Digital Product Passport for Luxury Leather Goods and Accessories
Bags, belts and leather accessories are among the most counterfeited products in the world. MyLime’s DPP certifies the tannery, the craftsman and the supply chain — protecting the brand, the consumer and Made in Italy. Leather goods are not among the priorities of the 2025–2030 ESPR Working Plan: today the DPP is voluntary, and it is the fastest way to make craftsmanship verifiable.

Regulatory framework
Voluntary DPP · REACH, CITES, EUDR
Leather goods are not among the priority product groups of the 2025–2030 ESPR Working Plan: there is currently no DPP deadline. What already applies is REACH, for tanning chemicals, and CITES, for exotic and protected-species skins; the obligations of the EU deforestation regulation (EUDR), which covers bovine hides, are on the way.
- No ESPR delegated act planned in the 2025–2030 Working Plan
- REACH · tanning chemicals

- Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 (EUDR) · deforestation-free bovine hides

Why act now
The only way to prove craftsmanship is to record it
Without a DPP, craftsmanship quality is a marketing promise. With a DPP it’s a verifiable fact: the tannery, the cut, the stitching, the pattern, the artisan. Luxury consumers pay a premium price because they can see and validate every step.

What MyLime does for your industry
Six concrete applications of the Digital Product Passport, already live on brands in the industry.
-
Patented tear-resistant NFC tag
Built into stitching, lining or hardware. Removal leaves a visible trace and certifies any tampering attempt.
-
Tanning traceability
Tannery of origin, LWG certifications, tanning process (vegetable, chrome, metal-free) recorded immutably.
-
Artisan profile
The customer knows who stitched the bag: name, atelier, techniques. The unique piece becomes narratively unique.

Warranty and repairs
Repairs, restorations and maintenance are recorded in the DPP. The care history increases residual value.
